य एनं वेत्ति हन्तारं यश्चैनं मन्यते हतम् ।
उभौ तौ न विजानीतो नायं हन्ति न हन्यते ॥
He who thinks ‘I slay’ or ‘I am slain’ knows not; the Self neither kills nor is killed.
‘मैं मारता/मारा जाता’—ऐसा मानने वाला नहीं जानता; आत्मा न हन्ता, न हन्य।
