कुलक्षये प्रणश्यन्ति कुलधर्माः सनातनाः । धर्मे नष्टे कुलं कृत्स्नमधर्मोऽभिभवत्युत ॥ अधर्माभिभवात्कृष्ण प्रदुष्यन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ॥
When the family is destroyed, its timeless duties perish; with dharma lost, adharma prevails; then the women of the family are corrupted.
कुल-क्षय से सनातन कुल-धर्म नष्ट होते हैं; धर्म नष्ट होने पर अधर्म बढ़ता है; तब कुल-स्त्रियाँ दूषित होती हैं।
